unrest

Now this might sound like something from z-mbabwe or another wartorn country. But in reality it is on our own doostep. We are being used by the people in government that we actually put there. They, the people in power are getting a lovely 2.5% payrise, why? Why should they get a payrise while we are all hanging on to our jobs. Why are we hanging onto our jobs? Because the government f*#*ed up with its spending and messed the economy up so bad everybody is going bust. Gordon Brown the man that everone wants out of power is the main issue. He was chanceller for so long he is the one who spent so much money the country is in debt as much as some of the african states! He is still spending now, and in order to pay for that spending the likes of you and me arew being charged more and more every day. They are now about toi place another tax increase on fuel. We are struggling enough adding more to the price of fuel will not just hit the everyday driver but many businesses are going under be...

A quick visit to Attenborough

Image
With it being such a nice day today we decided to go to Attenborough Nature Reserve. We got there and it was packed. We decided to go for a walk and find out where the station was first as Shirl is looking at taking the Beavers in a few weeks. The walk from the station is only a small one and soon you are in the reserve. We went by the feeding area and saw some Common Terns and a few Canada and Egyptian Geese. Over by the visitor centre we saw a bird that we had never seen before. We then went over to the visitors centre for a drink but it was so busy we decided to go. Hopefully it will be quieter next time and we can have a drink while looking at all the water fowl that are being fed around the centre. I know the kids will love it there when Shirl and her team take them.

New car

NEW CAR At last I have got myself a new car. Well not exactly a new car more of a new car to me. It is a Ford Mondeo 1.8 TD. I was amazed at how much it cost me. It has MOT till Nov 09, Tax till June 09 and its in pretty good nick. All for just £350!!!!!! It at present seems very economical but that all depends on whether the government put up the price of fuel up again. Its a diesel and I filled it up the other day from empty and it cost just £51. So far I have done 375 miles and it just got to ¼ tank mark. If I'd done that many miles in either of my previous cars I would have had to put more fuel in it. Can't wait to see what it is like pulling my camper.

WHAT A JOKE!

Heavy snowfall overnight has caused chaos, particularly in the South East and severe weather warnings have been issued for England and Wales. In the capital, Transport for London has cancelled all bus services. All underground lines except Victoria and Central suspended. One runway is operating at Heathrow. M25 - anticlockwise Essex heavy traffic The M1, M20 London-bound reopened. M3 - Severe disruption, currently down to one lane. SouthEastern Trains has cancelled services between Victoria and Ramsgate. Hampshire - Basingstoke, Farnborough, Aldershot, Yateley and the surrounding areas are worst effected. This is a joke! A little bit of snow and all hell breaks loose. We knew it was coming why did the councils not prepare????? This government wants us to get out of our cars and get onto public transport and as you can see from above a bit of snow and public transport comes to a standstill.

East midlands trains

Late again!!! Thursday morning the train that I normally catch was 20mins late, this resulted in me missing my connection and being late for work. The worst bit was the reason why it was late. Derby station stated that it was a slow moving freight train but when we got on the train we were told it was because of engineering works. They could at least get their stories the same.

Government and trains

Yes I am moaning again, but I have reason this time. This government, the same as every one that has been before and the same as those that will follow are to be polite wasting their time. On what you ask? On getting people out of their cars and using trains or any other type of public transport instead. I know I should be doing something for the enviroment but at what cost? I did a bit of pricing up the other day because I was considering taking my kids and partner to London for the day. I thought I would price up the train as it would get us there quicker. I got out the laptop and clicked on National rail to find train times and prices. Train times were great, the quickest journey was 1 hour 31 mins. This was great I thought, then I clicked the link for the price. OH MY GODDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In order to take my family, which comprises, myself, my partner and my two sons(one 16 and one 18) it would cost us.........................wait for it........................................
